We can’t thank you enough for the outstanding care you gave to our mum, Mariambibi (‘Majee’ as you called her) and for making her final years as happy and comfortable as possible. Like so many others in her position, Mum never wanted to be in residential care, but you helped her to settle and we always thought that you worked hard to meet her needs. She loved all the carers who took pride looking after her.

“I would to say that Towhida was a very good carer, my late mother got on very well with her. She was the best carer my mother had, Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was very polite, my mother enjoyed seeing her and enjoyed their chats while she washed,  dressed her and did her food etc.

I just needed to praise her good work. “

“My father was unable to speak due to a previous stroke which made him additionally vulnerable, he was also fiercely independent for his entire life and did not like the idea of needing a carer.

Delwar’s approach was gentle, patient and above all kind. He never tried to impose his will on my father, rather waited until he was invited to help and observed where he was needed. After gently but persistently being available to help my father do what he needed help with, he gained my father’s trust to the point where my father would ask and invite Delwar to help him with things he was having trouble accepting he needed help with. When my father came back home from hospital for the last time, I could tell he was happy and emotional to see Delwar again and greeted him like the friend he had become.

I’ll always be grateful to Delwar for making the last months of my father’s life that little bit easier.”
